A couple of years into managing an agency, I got annoyed that I was running the business with spreadsheets and cobbled together tool stacks. There had to be a better way.
Using a multitude of tools for project management, time tracking, billing, and profitability analysis made me wonder - why isn’t there something on the market for companies like us. So we turned around and decided to build just that - agency management software.
When we deployed the first real version of what was to become Productive, we immediately started seeing benefits at our agency. It was not all great in the beginning, but over a couple of years we built a complete product.
We had this idea that if it worked for Infinum, it could work for other companies - and we were right. Together with Jan Varljen and Ivan Lucin we decided to spin-off Productive into a standalone SaaS company. Infinum got a new CEO, and I moved over to run Productive full-time.

Productive works for any company of a reasonable size (think 5+ people) where the main business is selling services. Examples of that are marketing agencies, software development companies, design studios and many more.
As a full blown SaaS business, we sell online. Most of our customers are US, EU and UK-based, but we have customers from all over the world.
